We’re back with our Funny Story book club episode, and let’s just say—this discussion was one of the most fun so far! We’re answering our book prompts, unpacking Daphne’s complex father-daughter relationship, and debating what really would have happened if she had taken the dream job. But the real highlight? A TikTok comment finally made us understand the term field-cum-parking lot—turns out, cum is Latin for “with” (like graduating cum laude), and suddenly, everything clicked. Lightbulb moment achieved!

Of course, we couldn’t resist playing casting director for a Funny Story adaptation, because let’s be real—this book needs to be a movie. Who’s our dream Miles? Who could bring Daphne’s charm to life? We’ve got thoughts, and we’re spilling them all.

Ingredients:
